The difference between cellophane and glass fiber paper
1) Cellophane
Cellophane (cellophane) is a kind of regenerated cellulose film with high transparency and gloss, formerly known as cellophane, which is the transliteration of English cellophane. It is a kind of paper for commodity packaging, which belongs to packaging paper. It should be noted that there is another term called celluloid, which is not paper, but a nitrocellulose plastic (the raw material for table tennis). Celluloid is the transliteration of English celluloid. Do not confuse the two.

The basis weight of cellophane is generally 30~60g/m2. There are two types of flat paper and roll paper. It is usually a colorless, transparent, and smooth sheet, non-perforated, airtight, oiltight, and watertight; it has a certain degree of stiffness; it has good tensile strength, gloss and printability. It can also be dyed into various colors (red, yellow, etc.).

Cellophane is regenerated cellulose, and the gaps between its molecular groups have a wonderful air permeability, which is beneficial to the protection and preservation of commodities. It is not fire-resistant, but heat-resistant, can not deform at a high temperature of 190°C, and can be used for high-temperature sterilization with food in food packaging. Since the raw material of cellophane comes from natural sources, it has strong decomposability and has a relatively small impact on the environment.

Cellophane is made of refined chemical wood pulp or cotton linters dissolving pulp with high content of α-cellulose as raw material, and alkali cellulose is obtained through processes such as alkalization (18% sodium hydroxide), pressing and crushing, and then carbon disulfide is added after aging. Make it yellow into cellulose xanthate, dissolve it with sodium hydroxide solution to make orange-yellow cellulose viscose. The viscose is matured at a temperature of 20~30℃, and filtered to remove impurities and bubbles, and then extruded from a narrow gap in the film stretcher, and flows into the coagulation bath of the mixed solution of sulfuric acid and sodium sulfate , To form a film (regenerated cellulose film), and then processed by water washing, desulfurization, bleaching, desalination and plasticization (glycerin and glycol, etc.), and finally dried.

2) Glass fiber paper
Glass fibre paper (glass fibre paper) is a kind of industrial paper, generally used as filter material, sound absorbing material, heat insulating material, electrical insulating material, etc. It is a paper sheet made of glass fiber with a small diameter, which has the characteristics of high flame resistance, high chemical resistance, and good dimensional stability.

There are some differences between this kind of paper making method and ordinary paper making. It uses 100% glass fiber (the main component is silicon dioxide, the diameter is less than 0.3 ~ 0.5μm), after light beating, adding adhesive, or adding some parts. Chemical wood pulp is copied on Fourdrinier paper machine or cylinder paper machine. You can also add some silica gel or colloidal alumina to improve the strength of the paper.

The production process of glass fiber paper (or glass fiber air filter paper) is relatively simple compared to the general papermaking process. Because glass fiber does not need to be beaten, it only needs to be dispersed. And when copying, there is no need to squeeze. Reduce the process and save energy.

The process flow is: glass fiber→dispersion→slurry storage tank→slurry pump→forecutting tank→slurry box→grit plate→slurry washing tank→slurry pump→stable head box→headbox→net section→drying room→ Coiling→Slitting and packaging
